Renewal dashboard

Like all states, Minnesota has maintained health care coverage for its Medicaid enrollees during the COVID-19 pandemic. Learn more about continuous coverage requirements

The federal Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023  requires the return to standard eligibility procedures in Medicaid, which includes an annual eligibility review. That means that most of the 1.5 million Minnesotans enrolled in Medical Assistance (Minnesota's Medicaid program) and MinnesotaCare will need to have their eligibility for these programs reviewed through the renewal process. Learn more about the renewal process and timeline for resuming renewals

This interactive dashboard tracks the statewide resumption of renewals. You can view the total number of enrollees and total number of household due for renewal each month, and sort this data by demographic information and program eligibility category. You can check the progress of renewal processing by viewing how many enrollees had their coverage automatically renewed, maintained their public health care program coverage, had their coverage closed and continue to have their renewal processing in progress.

See the monthly renewal outcomes data Minnesota reports to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
