- Census Bureau Tables Census Bureau tables provide demographic and socio-economic data on populations throughout the United States. Census data is formally collected nationwide every ten (10) years, and estimates are provided every year.
- Older Americans Act (OAA) Federal legislation that established authority for grants to states for community planning and social services, research and development projects, and personnel training in the field of aging. Congress has reauthorized programs for FY 2020 through FY 2024.
- Aging, Independence, and Disability (AGID) A website that provides access to data, maps, and statistical reports related to aging and disability programs. The source data is from the U.S. Census Bureau.
- West Health Mosaic National data and studies on Planning for Aging, Healthcare Costs & Delivery, Demographics & Population, Healthcare Lived Experience, Data Mosaics, Healthcare Accessibility, and Current Trends.
- Age-Friendly World A global database of age-friendly practices by the World Health Organization.
- AARP Roper iPoll This website provides access to AARP research datasets of studies, questions and trends.
- MN Aging & Disability Resources A statewide database of services and resources for seniors by topic area.
- Aging Data Profiles MN Dept of Human Services Statewide, regional and county-level demographic and service data.
- Gateway to Global Aging Data A platform for population survey data on aging around the world.
- The economic case for investing in healthy aging: Lessons from the United States Article published by the McKinsey Health Institute that explores the benefits of investing in healthy aging in the United States.

Affordable Housing for the Lifespan
- Key 2025 Housing Issues & Trends Chart Book Published by Minnesota Housing, this report highlights and documents key housing issues and trends in Minnesota. Additional information may be found at mnhousing.gov.
- Housing Disparities Dashboard This online dashboard shows the estimated rate by year that communities of color experience housing problems compared to white Minnesotans. The population breakouts are filtered by race and ethnicity or disability status. The Housing issues are filtered by housing problems, renting, and homelessness.
- Housing Link Data & Research This website provides research, data, analytics and expertise on Minnesota’s affordable housing sector. Data provided includes Twin Cities Rental Housing Trends, Hennepin County, Minneapolis and St. Paul Rental Housing Briefs, Twin Cities Rental Revue, MN Housing Measures, and Housing Counts.
- Minnesota Housing Partnership Research/Data A research series on affordable housing in Minnesota including 2025 Congressional District Profiles.
- Housing in Minnesota Published by Minnesota Compass, a project of the Wilder Foundation, this website tracks data on the number of people experiencing homelessness, cost-burdened households, and the homeownership gap.
- Accessory Dwelling Unit Idea Book Research by the Family Housing Fund that provides case studies on Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs).
- Housing and Shelter Information A statewide interactive locator by MN Aging & Disability Resources that provides links to housing assistance and programs

- The Future of Mobility This website provides links to University of Minnesota research articles on transportation systems and the future of mobility.
- MinnesotaGo A trend analysis report on Minnesota’s aging population’s transportation needs and travel behavior.
- Public Transportation An interactive statewide map that provides websites and contact information for public transportation systems.
- Epidemiology of Public Transportation Use Among Older Adults in the U.S. A study by the National Institute of Health that examines the characteristics of older adults who use public transportation to those who do not.
- Rides in Sight (RIS) A national database of local transportation programs that help older and mobility-challenged adults find local transportation options.
- National Safety Council Injury Facts National data and charts on older adults injured or killed when walking, bicycling, and riding in vehicles.
Public Spaces for All Ages & Seasons
- 2024 Engagement with Parks Report Published by the National Recreation and Park Association. Annual survey results analyzing how people in the United States connect with parks and recreation. Provides data by age group including categories of Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X, and Baby Boomer.
- Minnesota Wheelchair Accessible Trails and Maps A database locator that identifies wheelchair accessible trails in Minnesota.
- Companion Services Contacts in Minnesota A database of regional coordinator contacts for older adults by Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota. Senior Companion volunteers share time and talents to enhance the lives of older adults to assist them in staying active, healthy and remaining independent.
- Minnesota DNR Accessible Outdoors Database of public spaces and programs in Minnesota that meet state and federal accessibility standards. Includes resources on Campling, Fishing, Hunting, State forests, State parks, State trails, Wildlife management areas, Power-driven mobility devices in DNR facilities/lands, Accessible recreation organizations.

- Minnesota Broadband Profiles A County and Reservation data search engine that tracks access to high-speed internet across the State of Minnesota.
- Minnesota Broadband Map A DEED interactive map that identifies broadband service across the State of Minnesota.
- MnSTA Online Learning Resources Database of links to online science resources for teachers.
- National Digital Inclusion Alliance Resource Library A national search engine that provides resources on how to overcome barriers to digital access.

- Emergency Shelters An interactive dashboard by MN Aging & Disability Resources that provides location and contact information of emergency shelters across Minnesota.

- MN DHS Vulnerable Adult Protection Dashboard This dashboard explains what happens after reports are made by the public or mandated reporters to the MAARC for an adult who is suspected to be vulnerable and abused, neglected, or exploited.
- Minnesota Nursing Home Report Card Database of nursing homes in Minnesota that rates the home in terms of quality of life, family satisfaction, inspection results, hours of direct care, staff retention, temporary staff agency use, and proportion of beds in single rooms.
- MN Elder Justice Center Resources Handouts/resources on elder abuse, neglect and exploitation in Minnesota.
- Minnesota Office of Ombudsman for Long-Term Care (OOLTC) Annual Report MN Report published annually that provides statistics on the demographics of who is using their services and filing care complaints to be resolved by OOLTC.
- National Ombudsman Reporting System (NORS) collects data from the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program. This program works to resolve problems related to health, safety, welfare, and rights of individuals who live in LTC facilities such as nursing homes, board and care and assisted living facilities, and other residential care communities.

- LTSS Demographic Dashboard Long-term services and supports (LTSS) dashboard that measures how well LTSS programs serve Minnesotans who need help with daily living tasks.
- LTSS Overview The site provides different data and information about our network of Long Term services and supports in Minnesota. Additionally, it provides and overview of program and service changes, as well as larger systemic changes, that the State is currently working on and links to a variety of resources.
- ATI Dashboard: LTSS Users by State and County This dashboard shows the number of Americans using Medicaid long-term services and supports (LTSS) nationally and by county.

- The Direct Care Workforce Shortage in Minnesota Provides data from the MN Department of Human Services (DHS), MN Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), MN Department of Health (MDH), the Federal government, and the One Minnesota plan.

- National Health & Aging Trends Study (National Study of Caregiving) A Compilation of annual in-person interviews with Medicare beneficiaries ages 65+. Online dashboards and a companion chartbook track trends.
- State Caregiving Profiles (Family Caregiver Alliance) This website provides caregiving statistics across all 50 states in the United States. Profiles contain each state’s background characteristics related to caregiving and aging and information on publicly-funded caregiver support programs.
- Family Caregiver Services by State (Family Caregiver Alliance) This national website provides the websites of caregiving organizations and resources in the State of Minnesota.
- National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers A federal plan to better recognize and support people who care for family members of all ages. It outlines actions for government, communities, and organizations to make caregiving more sustainable and valued. The site includes updates from 2024.
- Valuing the Invaluable: 2023 Update Strengthening Supports for Family Caregivers An AARP report highlighting that family caregivers provided an estimated $600 billion in unpaid care in 2021 and that figure continues to grow. It calls for stronger policies and supports to ease caregivers’ financial, emotional, and physical burdens.
- Caregiving in the U.S. 2025: Minnesota Published in 2025 by AARP and the National Alliance for Caregiving, this brief highlights Minnesota-specific findings from a national caregiving survey conducted across the United States.

- Long-Term Care: Are Older Adults Ready? | National Poll on Healthy Aging This website presents findings from a national household survey conducted by the University of Chicago for the University of Michigan’s Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation. The Poll asked people ages 50-94 about their plans for aging and future long-term care needs.
- Health Care Affordability Reports and Publications - MN Dept. of Health The MDH website that provides research, reports, and publications related to health care spending, access, and affordability.
- Food Security Dashboard | Healthy Foods, Healthy Lives Institute This dashboard is a tool that allows users to explore how the food insecurity rate in Minnesota is estimated to change over time at county and census tract levels.

- Job/Career Supports for Older Adults Minnesota statewide interactive map that locates organizations that will provide employment support and guidance to veterans and older adults.
- Older Worker Program Finder – U.S Dept of Labor Employment and Training Administration’s Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). A national search engine by State that helps find employment services for low income, unemployed seniors.
- Health and Retirement Study University of Michigan longitudinal panel study results that surveys a representative sample of approx. 20,000 people in USA about their views on the challenges and opportunities of aging.
