Organizations: Quality improvement

organizations-480x480Organizations are child care programs and businesses in the field of early care and education, like licensed child care centers, Head Start, school-based pre-kindergarten programs and training sponsors. They, too, can have profiles to access tools in Develop specifically for programs.

Prior to creating an Organization Profile, you must have an Individual Profile or Individual Membership. It’s an easy, free way to track your professional development! You must have an Individual Profile before you can access other tools, like registering an organization. Log into Develop

Find detailed information on registering an organization in the guides section of the How do I? … page.

Develop offers the following tools for organizations

Apply for Parent Aware and document quality practices through participation in Parent Aware

Programs that are eligible to participate in Parent Aware and have registered their organizations can apply online and upload documentation electronically in their Develop Organization Profiles.

Just log into your Individual Profile, select your organization from the context menu, and click on the quality tab to get started! Head Start, public school districts and charters contact parentaware.mde@state.mn.us for more information or help with Parent Aware rating.

You can find more information on applying for Parent Aware in the guides section of the How do I? … page. Visit Parent Aware for more information about Minnesota’s quality rating and improvement system.

Apply for grants available to eligible programs

Programs that are eligible for regional or MNTRECC grants and have registered their organizations can apply online in Develop in their Organization Profiles. During the application period of Sept. 1-25, log into your Individual Profile, select your organization from the context menu, and click on the quality tab to get started!

You can find more information on applying for grants in the guides section of the How do I? … page or visit Child Care Aware of Minnesota.

Track employees’ professional development

Programs that employ people can track their employees’ professional development, Individual Membership statuses and Career Lattice steps in their registered Organization Profile. You can find more information on verifying employment and inviting members to report their employment in the guides section of the How do I? … page.

Apply to be a Training Sponsor Organization (TSO) when registering as an organization

TSOs are training hosts that can own courses and maintain authorized Trainer lists for courses, schedule approved training events, and enter and update attendance for their training events. They must apply to be a TSO and agree to the Training Sponsor Organization Agreement terms to be approved in the system. You can find more information on TSOs and their permissions in the guides section of the How do I? … page. TSOs must work with approved Course Writers to submit Course content for review and approval by Achieve MNCPD.
