Adult Day Standards Improvement Project

The Adult Day Services Standards Improvement Project is focused on developing recommendations to update and revise the licensing standards for adult day services in consultation with stakeholders. The project is being led by representatives from the DHS Aging and Adult Services, Disability Services, and Licensing Divisions. The purpose of the project is to develop a legislative proposal for new licensing standards.

DHS formed a 20-member stakeholder group to provide input on the development of new licensing standards. The group has a balance of representatives, including service providers, consumer advocates, counties, and health plans. Stakeholder group meetings are being held approximately every-other month September 2019 through November 2020.
