Employed Persons with Disabilities (MA-EPD)
People with disabilities who work may get health care coverage under a program called Medical Assistance for Employed Persons with Disabilities (MA-EPD).
- MA-EPD may also reimburse the cost of Medicare Part B premiums for people with income at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines.
- If you have income or assets above the Medical Assistance limits you may still qualify for MA-EPD.
- You must pay a premium for MA-EPD coverage.
How to apply
The only way you can apply for Medical Assistance for Employed Persons with Disabilities is by filling out the Minnesota Health Care Programs Application for Certain Populations and taking it or mailing it to your local county or tribal human services office.
You cannot sign up online.
