The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) program provides free employment and education training and support for people getting SNAP benefits. As a participant in SNAP E&T you will gain support, skills, training or experience to reach your career goals.

Many local organizations, including technical and community colleges, community based organizations, county agencies, tribes and CareerForce Centers provide SNAP E&T programs and services. You can access programs and services by contacting an organization directly using the contact information on our provider map.

Match your skills and interests to an in-demand career with opportunities for growth. Services include coaching, help identifying growing careers that need your skills, and goal planning.

Apply for jobs with confidence and increase your chance of success in your job hunt. Services include help with a job search strategy, resume building and review, and interview prep.

Earn a recognized credential quickly. Training options include: welding, forklift, mechanics, IT, nursing assistant, and many more.

Student support

SNAP E&T may even be available on your community or technical college campus to help you succeed at school. Services include: academic support, career counseling, and financial navigation.

Financial assistance to help you meet your goals. Covered costs may include: transportation, work clothing, testing costs, emergency assistance, and more.

When you complete your program and land a great job, SNAP E&T can continue to support you to transition to and grow in your new job.

Do you have to follow SNAP time-limited work rules? We can help.

Some people receiving SNAP must meet work requirements to keep their benefits. SNAP E&T can help people who have to meet their work requirement and keep their SNAP benefits for longer.
