Why are the benefits you chose above the most important to you?

Having the flexibility to meet job demands and to accommodate home and work life is very important to me. It also increases my loyalty to the organization because it shows a commitment to and trusts me.

What about DHS’s benefits or culture helps you continue to work for DHS?

I believe the managers care about who we serve, what we do and the people doing the work. There is room to improve things and it always feels like we're moving in the right direction.

What would you tell a new employee or prospective candidate about a DHS job?

Learn the big and small picture about the programs and people you work with. Use and share your knowledge. Treat others how you like to be treated.

Do you have a specific or impactful memory while working at DHS?

When the director allowed telecommuting for the division it showed commitment, trust and loyalty to the staff.

What are your hobbies/interests?

Outdoors, hockey, golf.
