Indian Elder Desk

The Minnesota Board on Aging's American Indian Elder Desk aims to increase awareness of and improve access to services for Indian elders in urban Indian communities and on 11 Indian reservations across Minnesota. The Indian Elder Desk specialist helps Indian and non-Indian community agencies develop culturally sensitive programs and services and works directly with Indian elders promoting aging services and programs. Overall, the program acts as the Minnesota Board on Aging and the Minnesota Department of Human Services' liaison to Indian elder communities.
