Institutional Review Board: policies and procedures

Most program evaluation and research projects do not need any kind of formal review to ensure that all human subjects protections are in place. However, when the information gathering involves contact with recipients, or when personal data is requested by external researchers, the study will often require a review by the DHS Institutional Review Board.
