Minnesota Needs Funding Activity Coordination Tool (MNFACT)

In 2016, staff from the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency (Minnesota Housing) and the Department of Human Services (DHS) began implementing improvements to further goals in Heading Home Minnesota’s Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness.  Coordinated grant making work group was formed to identify ways to ensure that resources are used effectively to provided stably house and prevent homelessness for more Minnesotans.

With the release of the Minnesota Needs Funding Activity Coordination Tool (MNFACT) 1.0, grant applicants, state grant reviewers and interested members of the public have access to regional needs data and detailed information on funding awards and uses for:

Minnesota Housing Finance Agency and the department works to ensure grant funds and providers align resources with community needs. The tool shows data for the state, Continuum of Care region and county levels, as well as funding awards data for state and Continuum of Care areas.
