Applicants for and enrollees of Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) can call DHS Health Care Consumer Support (HCCS) with questions about Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare.

Contact HCCS

 You can call HCCS for the following:

  • Assistance related to your fee-for-service covered services
  • Questions about eligibility for MinnesotaCare
  • Reporting changes if you are enrolled in MinnesotaCare and no one in your household has Medical Assistance, including changes to the following: 
    • Your current address and phone number (if you do not tell us you have moved and returned mail has no forwarding address, coverage may end)
    • Who lives with you
    • Starting or stopping a job
    • Other income that has started or stopped 
    • The people you plan to list as dependents on your income tax return
    • Starting or stopping other health insurance
    • Access to insurance through a job
    • Whether you are pregnant or have a new baby
    • Incarceration status
    • Citizenship or immigration status
