    Indications

    Flector® Patch is indicated for the topical treatment of acute pain due to minor strains, sprains, and contusions.

    Peak plasma concentration range of diclofenac from the Flector Patch is 0.7 to 6 ng/mL. In comparison, peak plasma levels of diclofenac when given orally is measured in mcg/mL.

    Criteria

    • The patient has acute pain due to minor strains, sprains, or contusions (bruises) AND
    • The patient can not tolerate oral NSAID therapy (e.g., ibuprofen, meloxicam, diclofenac)
